Publish Your First Blog Post

A blog gives you a place to share news, explain your work, and answer common questions. In QuickPage, posts are managed as dynamic content, while a blog widget displays them on a page.

1. Open the Blog items

Go to Admin > Dynamic Content. Find Blog and open Items. Choose Add Item for a new post or Edit to update an existing one.

2. Write a clear title and excerpt

Use the Title field to say what the reader will learn. In Teaser / Excerpt, write a short introduction that works on its own in a card or slider. Avoid copying the entire article into the excerpt.

3. Structure the content

Use the Content editor for the full article. Begin with the main point, then divide the explanation into short sections with headings. Keep paragraphs focused and finish with one useful next step. Use the editor’s link control when you want to send readers to another relevant page.

4. Add the image and category

Upload a Featured Image that matches the topic. Choose a clear Category so related posts are easy to browse. Use the Gallery field when the article needs additional pictures. Review the slug and Published At fields before saving.

5. Save and review

Use Draft while preparing a post. When it is ready, set Status to Published and click Save Item. Open the public Blog page and the article itself to check the title, excerpt, image, formatting, and links. Display order depends on the blog widget’s settings.

Try it yourself

Write a short welcome post for your new website. Explain who it is for, what visitors can find, and where they should go next. Add a relevant image and review the finished post before sharing it.
